I always try to draw a Star Wars themed portrait for May 4th, which is Star Wars Day. Today I’ve taken my inspiration from a mini Chewbacca – I loved this little guy’s Chewie costume in a photo posted by Amber on the Museum by Sktchy app. He looked so excited to be dressed up in it.
Hope you like the portrait and have a happy Star Wars day. May the Fourth be with you!
There are some Sktchy muses who are almost iconic- every Sktchy artist has to draw them at least once! Jennie is one of those muses (and she’s also an artist). She’s known for her huge range of inspiration photos and her willingness to experiment with poses, makeup and cosplay. This portrait is drawn from an awesome series of photos featuring “Good Omens” cosplay.
I drew this in an A4 Moleskine Sketchbook with Copic multiliners and markers.
I’m part of a closed Facebook group called Old Skool Sktchy where we set the group weekly art challenges (called weekly art extravaganzas or WAX challenges, an idea taken from challenges that used to be set in Sktchy but have been retired). This week’s challenge, tagged #OSSWAXCosplay if you want to find the entries in Sktchy, is the theme cosplay. And this is my entry – Jerel dressed as Link.
I drew this on an iPad Pro with a 2nd Gen Apple Pencil using the Procreate app and Lisa Bardot’s Copicat brushes.
