Lil

This is Lil from Sktchy drawn in what is now becoming my signature Copic method of a basic Copic marker drawing followed by some more work in coloured pencil and then some cleaning up and finishing touches on my iPad.

Courtney

This is Courtney from Sktchy. I’ve been feeling very anxious this past week and today I decided to draw a smiling face as a form of art therapy. I loved making this drawing, especially adding the freckles, always my favourite feature to add to a face.

You can watch a short timelapse video on my YouTube channel here.

Wendy

I think everyone in the UK is feeling a little like this today.

This is Wendy from Sktchy drawn on an iPad Pro using the Procreate app.

Anika

I love drawing foreshortening and this portrait of Anika from Sktchy is a great example. I drew this on my iPad Pro using the Procreate app and Lisa Bardot’s Texturrific Pastel brushes.

Pattes

This is Pattes from Sktchy drawn on my iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil using the Procreate app.

Kiana

This is Kiana from Sktchy. I was so happy with how the face worked out that when it came to drawing the hair I really didn’t know what to do with it. I’ve spent two days messing about in Procreate with all kinds of ideas and not liked any of them so erased each one. In the end I decided to simply draw it in and leave it with this cool blue background because I didn’t want to draw too much attention away from the face.

Joy

This is Joy from Sktchy. I drew her on my iPad Pro using Lisa Bardot’s wonderful Texturrific pastel brushes in the Procreate app. You can watch a short Procreate timelapse video of my drawing process on YouTube here.

Lowkeyvibe

My week-long virtual conference has finished so I have time for drawing again and I’ve started off today with a portrait of Lowkeyvibe from Sktchy. I drew this portrait on my iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil using the Procreate app and the ballpointy brush by Georg.

Liza

This is Liza from Sktchy drawn on my iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil using the Procreate app. It probably won’t surprise you to learn that it was the colours in the inspiration photo for this portrait that drew me to this image – that red hair contrasted against a turquoise wall was irresistible.

Bojoura

This is Bojoura from Sktchy drawn on my iPad Pro using the Procreate app. I’ve uploaded a Procreate timelapse video of my drawing process to YouTube here.
