Bojoura

This is Bojoura from Sktchy drawn on my iPad Pro using the Procreate app. I’ve uploaded a Procreate timelapse video of my drawing process to YouTube here.

Berenice

This is Berenice from Sktchy. I love that I’m so much more confident and comfortable drawing with ballpoint pens since my whole month of drawing with them for Inktober,

Kasra

This is Kasra from Sktchy, drawn on my iPad Pro using the Procreate app. Most of my drawing this week has been done sat in my armchair in front of the TV consuming US election news 24/7 (although I’m British). I feel like I’ve been drawing while watching CNN for a lifetime, has it really only been 4 days?

Mahan

This is Mahan from Sktchy. I was experimenting with a new Pentel Multi-8 mechanical pencil plus my Pilot Eno mechanical pencils in my tiny Hannehmühle Nostalgie sketchbook – while still watching CNN…

Ahmet

This is Ahmet from Sktchy drawn in Procreate on my iPad Pro. More drawing while glued to the US election results on CNN…

Luke

This is Luke from Sktchy. Trying to focus while watching TV news coverage of the US election 24/7….

Mari

This is Mari from Sktchy drawn with Copic markers in a Midori cotton sketchbook. I have to say it felt so good to be back in my Copic comfort zone making this portrait – but I forgot that I needed to be much neater in my basic sketch. I’m going to have to remember to work on a more accurate and neater sketch, something that doesn’t matter so much with ballpoint pen drawing.

Zoe

This is Zoe from Sktchy drawn in Procreate. Today is the Day of the Dead or Dia de Los Muertos to give its Hispanic name. I’ve always been attracted to the colourful sugar skulls that are traditional symbols of this Mexican festival but I also love the idea of celebrating the lives of deceased relatives so the festival resonates with me on a number of levels.

I draw a portrait of someone in sugar skull costume and make up most years but this year I’ve also been crocheting along with a Day of the Dead crochet-along (or CAL) created by @theguywiththehook. You can see my finished mandala below and you can find the pattern on Ravelry.

Julia

How I have missed my watercolours and coloured pencils during the past month of Inktober! This is Julia from Sktchy painted in my Moleskine watercolour sketchbook.

Vampire Sarp

Hooray! I made it all the way through Inktober without missing a day! This is Sarp from Sktchy for day 31 which is, of course, Halloween. I’ve had a lot of fun using my Bic pens all month but I’m looking forward to using all my other art materials again from tomorrow!
