To mask or not to mask? I used masking fluid (which I don’t often use) to block out the light areas for this painting but ended up with very hard paint edges that I really don’t like. I also got a bit lost with the hair. I paint so rarely these days that I feel like I’ve lost a lot of my skills. Guess that means I need to paint more.
